Raise your hand if you’ve been personally victimized by starting a business, hyping up a launch, creating a ton of content, creating new social profiles, only to launch and get…crickets.
(Queue Taylor Swift) “It’s me, hi, I’m the problem it’s me”
But in all seriousness, I can’t be the only one that has felt this way.
The Pinner’s Circle launched just about two weeks ago, and watching small business after small business go “viral” on social media and their businesses EXPLODE overnight, I don’t know why I put those same expectations on myself.
After literally JUST launching my business.
But, it’s fine.
Instead of sitting here and waiting for my vanity numbers to pick up, I’ve decided to conduct a little experiment.
I’m going to commit to the best practices of Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest for 30 days during the month of November and see how it grows my business.
Now I’m not talking about followers, likes, and impressions, I’m talking about the numbers that as a new business owner we should probably be more focused on: Website traffic, sales/inquiries, and email subscribers.
Now don’t get me wrong, more followers would be nice, but that’s not the goal here. I’m going to invest my time into these platforms to see which one(s) are most beneficial for the backend numbers of a business. The numbers that make your business a business.
I want to be really transparent with you and share all of my starting numbers, and then I’ll do a follow up post with my results at the end of the 30 days.
Here’s a couple things I want to preface before I dive into my before stats:
Okay, Let’s Dive Into The Before:
My Instagram Numbers As of 10/29:

My TikTok Numbers As of 10/29:

Something To Note About My Pinterest: It’s linked to my personal blog and that’s where the majority of my stats are from. I also have an established account, but it’s been neglected due to client work, so I’m looking forward to utilize Pinterest this month to help grow TPC.
My Pinterest Numbers As Of 10/29:
Followers: 223
Impressions: 111k
Engagements: 6.5k
Total Audience: 88k
Engaged Audience: 4.4k
Outbound Clicks: 1.1k
(This total includes my husband, mom, and sister, so more like 8)
Monthly Management Clients For November: 1
Pinterest In A Day Clients for November: 1

Obviously these are very much real and candid numbers that I’m sharing, and I’m interested to see what comes from doing this 30 day challenge!
I’ll be updating on all platforms every Tuesday, and sharing the final results here on the TPC blog in the beginning of December.
