The Ultimate WFH Gift Guide & Why Every Biz Owner Should Make One

October 30, 2022

| Jump To The Gift Guide |

I have been telling my clients over and over that it’s time to put out your holiday content on Pinterest, so I figured I better listen to my own advice and put out my work from home gift guide!

Yes, I understand that this is outside the norm of my typical blog posts, but I’m going to share something with you that might be a surprise–I think every business owner should put out a gift guide.

Why? Because not only is it a chance to make a little bit of affiliate income, but it’s a chance to create a blog post, which then get’s found on Pinterest, which creates an opportunity for you to be put infront of a new audience, which gives you an opportunity to grow your email list, to grow your social media following, and potentially find new clients/leads/sales.

This post contains affiliate links, which means that I make a small commission at no additional cost to you if you make a purchase. I appreciate your support, feel free to reach out with any questions.

How To Make A Gift Guide:

  1. Round up things that make sense for you and your niche. If you’re a blogger, create a gift guide for your blog niche. If you’re a photographer, create a gift guide for photographers. If you’re a small shop owner, make a gift guide and include items from small shops (include yours!) or create a gift guide for small shop owners with tools you use, self care, etc.
  2. Create a Pinterest sized graphic. I personally love and use Canva for all of my graphics, and love it. Especially because you can screenshot the product you want to use and use the background eraser. That’s a Canva Pro feature, and you can try Canva Pro out here free for 30 days!
  3. Create a simple blog post with the image, a list of your products, and use affiliate links to make a couple of bucks. You can join the Amazon affiliate program, or if you need a referral for LikeToKnow.it feel free to send me an email and I’ll refer you! Make sure that you are following FTC guidelines and disclose that you are using affiliate links in your post.
  4. Make sure you have a good CTA where people can learn more about you, what you do, and how they can follow you!
  5. Post it on social media & Pinterest.

That’s it! It takes mayyyybeee an hour if you’ve never done it before, but it gives you a chance to reach other people in your niche, new customers, and give your current followers the opportunity to support you in a way that maybe they couldn’t before.

Pin Me For Later!

The Ember Mug– keep your coffee warm and kiss microwaving your coffee goodbye! Plus they have recently come out with some really nice colors!

The Kindle Scribe– I think this is actually one of the most genius things and is definitely on my Christmas list this year. The combination of a Kindle Paperwhite and A Digital Notebook, aka no more sticky notes or notebooks laying around everywhere.

A Planner Notepad– Because sometimes you do just want to write your to-do list down.

Beautiful By Drew Coffee Maker– Truthfully so beautiful for $50, and the 14 cup capacity is perfect for entertaining for the holidays or lonnnngg work days. My favorite coffee accessory I own.

Large Room Diffuser– When you work from home, creating an inviting workspace is crucial. I love turning on this large room diffuser, because the smell fills up the whole main living area of my home.

A Fun Keyboard/Mouse Combo– The amount of joy this keyboard brings me is kinda weird. Highly recommend.

Cloud Slippers– They look a little weird, but honestly they are so comfy. I only wear these when I work, when I put them on they symbolize “work mode” for me

Noise canceling headphones– If you work at home, there’s a chance that you have kids running around or dogs barking, so when you’re trying to get something done distraction free these are amazing.

Under Desk Treadmill– this treadmill is perfect for getting some steps in while working from home, or even stores well for a mid-day walk break no matter what the weather is.

"They" say you aren't supposed to put out educational content on IG. Good thing I don't listen.
